Uncle just uploaded some of his gap year photos.. i don't get how someone so cool has turned into a conservative, balding dad of 3 in the suburbs of Surrey. I'd love for my gap year to be like this but i swear it just isn't like that anymore? Aparently he hitch-hiked everywhere but after watching 'the girl in the box' when a hitch-hiker got abducted and kept in a coffin under a bed for seven years.. im scared..

On our last night in Paris we were sat outside a bar and decided to harrass some sk8r doods. They looked confused until we told them we were English - "aaaaaah oui oui, of course, Anglais, Anglais, de l'Angleterre" So even English women are known as rowdy hooligans? Embarrasing, until... A French woman told us that when she went to London when she was 18 and walked around Camden, she couldn't believe how eccentric and 'rock et roll' everyone looked. Until she said that i was wishing i could look as sophisticated as the Parisians do in black jeans and a beige jacket, looking all cool at a bar (not harrassing anyone) but putting British style in to perspective definately made me proud to be a lager lout.
